Everything Tarts de Feybesse makes is terrific, perhaps the best the Bay Area has ever seen. Their creations mimic high French pastry & techniques all while paying homage to the Bay.
The under appreciated Chaussons aux Pommes are the French equivalent of apple turnovers. Buttery flaky puff pastry filled with sweet apple compote, they are a great alternative to croissants or pains aux chocolats. Excellent with a cup of cafe au lait for a no-effort Parisian afternoon.
