A decade ago, De La Paz was a small underdog coffee roaster in San Francisco's Mission District. They didn't get as much buzz as Ritual or Blue Bottle, but the coffee was pretty good, a variety of coffees from single origins to blends, light roast to medium plus. When Four Barrel Coffee bought De La Paz, they decided to focus De La Paz on sweetness and body of blends while Four Barrel is focused on single-origin coffees.
This light and bright baby pairs two fully washed East African coffees to produce an unprecedentedly clean and provocative blend. A few daring folks run this Starburst Fruit Chew of a blend as espresso, but most of us savor its savoir faire in a slightly bigger cup. The first blend ever to win a Good Food Award, and still the best. Sourced from Ethiopia Biftu Gudina and Ethiopia Hunda, it's got layers upon layers withnotes of honey, rose and strawberry.

This is great for an ultra light roast. It’s similar to Verve.

I love all their coffee, but this is a personal favorite. Check it out if you love ritual coffee.
