Perfect hand pies
One of these for lunch during the week when you’re working from home is the perfect amount of sustenance and flavor. Very tasty and not too big where you can get food coma afterwards.

Empanadas are crescent-shaped, savory pastries made of dough and traditionally filled with vibrantly seasoned ingredients, then baked or fried to perfection. Frog Hollow handmakes their twist on the traditional in their Farm Kitchen filled with sauteed Portobello and Shiitaki mushrooms in butter and olive oil, a hint of goat cheese, and thinly sliced organic leeks to add just the right creaminess and tanginess to create the distinctively delicious flavor you will love. Best when served straight out of the oven, these empanadas are an excellent choice for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch.
PREHEAT INSTRUCTIONS: Pre-heat your oven to 400°, 375°if using a convection oven. For a golden brown crust, brush the dough with cream, milk, or an egg-wash. Sprinkled with sugar if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
