Organic California Keitt Mango

Keitt mango season is short, which makes these fleeting beauties even more exciting while they’re available. Their flavor is a bit citrusy, and complexly sweet. With very few fibers, the texture is smooth and creamy, making them perfect for eating sliced on their own, or over Greek yogurt and drizzled with pomegranate molasses (the colors here are 🤩). They remain mostly green when ripe, so feel for a bit of give to check if they’re ready to eat.

Loved these I also recently learned that there is a different way to cut mangoes…stand it up, cut it horizontally (ie the equator of the mango), then grab each end and twist and pull out. The pit just comes right out!
I prefer yellow/champagne mango, but this one is not bad, when eaten green has nice acidity, when ripened is more similar to regular mango

I thought this was some kind of odd mango based on the photo. It was just like a regular mango except the seed is smaller.
