Petit Tender

Also known as the Teres Major, Mock Tender, Chuck Shoulder Tender, or what we like to call it, the Petit Tender, this is a small, lean steak from the shoulder of the animal. This unique steak is considered rare because most butcher shops and meat departments do not carry this cut due to the time, labor, and skill needed to cut it, plus large processors don't have the time to cut this special steak.

This steak is best prepared grilled but is also great for all other cooking methods depending on what your needs are. Slice for a good stir fry, cut into small medallion steaks or have a fun kebab night- this cut is so versatile!
