We’re building the pet brand we wish existed. We are female-founded, purpose-driven, and on a mission to deliver convenience, curation and community to every pet person. We’re not here to fit in, but to create a space where everyone is welcome. Our founder, Jess Berger is a first-generation American Latina who grew up learning firsthand from her family how important a close-knit community and honest hard work is to a purposeful life. Brought up with dogs as a child and later becoming a dog mom herself, Jess had no idea she’d be reflecting on her family’s example to build the pet brand she wished existed. Jess began her career in finance and marketing, which led her into the pet industry where she spent the last 15 years working for and partnering with companies like Petsmart, Nestle, and Whole Foods Market. After achieving success in her corporate career, she found herself disillusioned with the lack of representation, inclusivity and alignment in leadership. Jess asked herself what it would look like to create a female-led pet company where women could come together in the industry, leaning on each other to create a diverse network of purpose-driven partnerships. She recognized a lack of community around pet parenthood that was inviting, inclusive, and representative of pet parents today, and after learning most every aspect of the industry, Jess left her corporate desk behind to pursue her purpose in entrepreneurship.
