Spaghettoni, a bigger, the chunkier cousin of the classic Spaghetti, mixed with squid ink, creates very black colored pasta. The ink provides a salty and somewhat sweet flavor as an ingredient and a shocking coloring to the pasta! Bayview Pasta's Squid Ink Spaghettoni is hand milled at a low temperature to retain essential amino acids and nutrients lost in commercial milling. This makes their pasta slightly nutty and full of the sweet flavor of hard white wheat while much healthier and easier to digest. Hand made with non-gmo wheatberries souced from reputable West Coast farms, using traditional rolling, sheeting, and extruding processes, the method yields long strands with a slightly springy, chewy, delicate texture and a delicious rich, briny flavor. Pair this striking pasta with seafood like shrimp, scallops, or mussels, plus classic aromatics like garlic, parsley, and white wine.
Ingredients: red hollis wheat, red fife wheat, winter white wheat, spelt wheat, water, squid ink
Bayview pasta is what brought me to this site! Love the pasta - it’s nutrient dense, made with fresh ingredients, and has wonderful texture.
I don’t think I would get these squid ink ones again but the noodles in general were a great texture and was perfect for seafood pasta! I couldn’t really taste the squid ink? I mean I don’t know if you’re supposed to tho
Made a mushroom cream sauce with this and it paired so well!
The color was really pretty but I’m not sure if I noticed the squid ink flavor
Bayview hits the mark again
High nutrient squid ink pasta? Yes please
