Midye Dolma, stuffed mussels with aromatic rice, herbs and spices, is a popular street & beach food in Turkey. Everyone's favorite snack, these little morsels are eaten by the dozen from local street vendors with a pint of cold beer. Midyeci Ahmet, the most popular street stall in Istanbul, stuffs his large mussels with a mixture of rice, pine nuts and currants and slowly simmered for up to an hour. All you need to do is gently break off the top shell, give a good squeeze of lemon juice then use the top shell as a spoon to scoop the rice. Make sure you get it all and get ready to get addicted!
