Driven by a lifelong passion for food & fond childhood memories of making Pao de Queijo with her grandmother in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Delvira founded Brazilian Breads in 2015 to bring the best Brazilian food & ingredients to The Bay Area. 

It all began in 2009 when Delvira first made her way to San Francisco. She immediately fell in love with the culinary scene & community in The Bay Area, but Delvira desperately missed her grandmother's unforgettable Pao de Queijo (cheese bread). After spending several years experimenting with fresh, local ingredients, Delvira finally perfected her recipe & created the same incredible texture & taste she’d been longing for.

Very similar to gougeres, pao de queijo is basically a pate-a-choux, but made with tapioca or cassava flour instead of wheat flour.
