Mystery Berry Box

1 lb. Brussels sprouts have a naturally spicy, cabbage-like taste that adds a robust flavor to salads, sides and mains. These tiny vegetables can be prepared every which way - roasted, shredded, sautéed, boiled, even grilled. Fresh brussels sprouts leaves are unsung, the outer leaves are beautiful, they hold up well and they have a great horseradish-y quality, pairs excellent with a good balsamic vinegar.

Dirty Girl Produce famously plants their brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower and cabbages) closer together than most other farmers in order to make more efficient use of their limited space and also because they have found that the smaller heads yield a sweeter flavor. Sizes of the caulifower heads will vary with the seasons but tend to be on the smaller side (imagine golf to tennis ball sized heads occasionally sizing up to softball size but rarely bigger).
