Located in the picturesque Capay Valley of northern California, Full Belly Farm is a certified organic farm that has been committed to sustainability since 1985. The 400-acre farm is owned by Andrew Brait, Judith Redmond, Paul Muller, Dru Rivers, Jenna Muller, and Amon Muller, and employs around 80 people to produce a diverse range of vegetables, herbs, nuts, flowers, and fruits year-round. Full Belly Farm is also home to a flock of chickens and sheep, a tribe of goats, and several cows.

One of the main goals of Full Belly Farm is to integrate farm production with long-term environmental stewardship, which includes using cover crops that fix nitrogen and provide organic matter for the soil, planting habitat areas for beneficial insects and wildlife, and selling produce within a 120-mile radius of the farm. The farm is also dedicated to supporting local food systems and creating a strong local food economy.

In addition to their farming practices, Full Belly Farm is also committed to providing stable employment for their farm workers and offering a safe, healthy environment for all. They host educational tours and school group visits, as well as the annual Hoes Down Harvest Festival, which celebrates rural life and sustainable food production. Through these outreach programs, Full Belly Farm aims to raise awareness about the importance of farms in society and the need for responsible farming practices.

As Full Belly Farm enters its 37th year of operation, the owners and staff are dedicated to continuing their journey of learning and practicing sustainable farming techniques while also adapting to the changing needs of the world around them. From dealing with the challenges of climate change and societal shifts to providing fair wages and healthcare for their workers, Full Belly Farm is committed to being good stewards of their land and producing the best food possible for their community.
