Dorade, also known as tsipoura, cipura or sea bream, is a beautiful white fish native to the western and southern coasts of Europe. Farm-raised and flown fresh from Turkey, this Dorade has a mild, sweet flavor that is perfect for any preparation that highlights the flavors of the Mediterranean. Excellent with herbs de provence, rosemary, bay, saffron, or just a good olive oil and squeeze of lemon. The essential ingredient in Provence's classic Bouillabaisse, it is often braised and used in stews, we love it slow-roasted in foil with some simple herbs, red onion and a slice of lemon.

Perfect summer dinner - grilled or baked

Very fresh fish

This fish was in fabulous condition. Clear eyes, well cleaned. A simple rub with olive oil and salt and pepper and a few min under the broiler on both sides crisped the skin nicely. Fresh, delicious fish and not at all dry, perfect juicy flesh under the crisp skin.

fresh, good size

it arrived so vibrant, the eyes so bright! it was a good size too, for two with a few side salads & vegetables. make sure you check the inside before you cook, mine wasn’t completely clean, needed 2 more minutes under the sink.
