Three Babes Bakeshop
Three Babes Bakeshop is a beloved San Francisco bakery that crafts pies from seasonal, organic ingredients. Founded in 2011 by business partners and best friends Lenore Estrada and Anna Derivi-Castellanos, the bakery is rooted in a rich history of pie-making in both of their families. The pair first launched their pop-up pie shop out of a small shipping container in SF's Mission District, and gradually graduated to a Little Farmer's Market Stand in Noe Valley, and finally to SF's famous Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Three Babes Bakeshop uses all, mostly local, organic ingredients, including all of their butter, eggs, cream and milk, flour, sugar, fruit, and nuts. They offer a variety of vegan and gluten-free creations, including seasonal vegan and gluten-free Fruit Crumble and Key Lime pies. They proudly source fresh, organic produce from local farms, ensuring the highest quality pies possible, including blueberries, cherries and apples from Hidden Star Orchards, Frog Hollow Farmâs stone fruit in the summer and juicy pears in the fall and winter, fair trade certified chocolate from Guittard Chocolate, strawberries from Yerena Farms, and walnuts from Old Dog Ranch. Their pies have been featured in numerous publications including Bon Appetit, NPR, and The Today Show, and have been honored as one of Americaâs best pie spots, one of Americaâs best apple pies, and have been called âquite possibly the best on the planet.â
