1 lb. Organic Arkansas Black Apples are a rare and distinct apple variety renowned for their unparalleled flavor and unique characteristics.

With a deep, almost ebony hue, the Arkansas Black Apple boasts a crisp and firm texture that gives way to a tantalizingly sweet yet slightly tart flavor profile. Its complexity sets it apart from conventional apples, offering a delightful balance that appeals to the discerning palate.

But... Arkansas Black apples aren’t meant to be eaten straight off the tree. Unlike other apples, the Arkansas Black develops its intense flavor during storage, reaching its peak after a few weeks of harvest. In fact, the best thing you can do to one is put it in the refrigerator and forget about it until next season. Patient pickers are rewarded with a sweet, firm fruit that offers notes of cherry, cinnamon, vanilla, and coriander.

These apples are incredibly versatile in the kitchen, adding a sophisticated touch to both sweet and savory dishes. Whether sliced into a fresh salad, baked into a decadent pie, or simply enjoyed on its own, the Organic Arkansas Black Apple promises an apple-eating experience like no other!

So crunchy and tasty!

I always order this Black Apple! The crunchiness just hit differently from Gala Apple or any kinds of apple

Not bad

First time trying this variety. Good, but I still prefer other ones. Not bad to try when on sale

Mealy and waxy

I was really excited for these apples that boasted to be flavorful and crisp. They were mealy, had a thick waxy skin, and no special flavor.

so so

unfortunately, this apple seem to be rather mealy and had an almost waxy film on the exterior. probably better for cooking with rather than eating raw
