This is not your grocery store sambal!! Sambal Evie is an edible expression of CO Mother Evie’s experience growing up in Medan and recreating her flavor memories with L.A’s bounty. Tangy, sweet and spicy- Sambal Evie reflects a flavor deeply tied to that region of Earth. A staple to every Indonesian table, this Sambal reflects Evie’s insatiable crave for spice and the funk of belacan (prawn sauce).

Ingredients: red bell peppers, grapeseed oil, shallots, fresno peppers, lemongrass, habanero peppers, sugar, lime juice, sea salt, belacan powder [shrimp, rice flour, salt, water], makrut lime leaves, apple cider vinegar, gochugaru chili flakes, lime zest, citric acid.
